FLEX MARK, is a regional company dedicated to the importation, distribution and marketing of large-format digital printing products in the graphic arts market. It is a corporation founded, in November of 2004 and located in the city of Guatemala.
During it’s origins, it began by marketing paper and cardboard, rapidly representing Pacific Paper Marketing Trade International, which in turn represented a number of mills from throughout the USA, Australia and Korea. Afterwards, in 2003 it initiated representation of UNISOURCE, one of the largest companies in the USA, dedicated to marketing paper and cardboard in international markets. Shortly thereafter, due to increasing prices in wood pulp as well as a number of other external factors, it causes Pacific Paper Marketing and Unisource to cease from competing with other larger businesses. It’s prices affected sales volumes causing them to decrease, and made the business a lot less feasible to pursue than originally.
Notwithstanding, in 2003, the company takes a turn and sets its eyes on the printing industry, focusing in large-format digital printing and general lettering, thereby birthing a new phase in the life of our company.
Marketing Sign Media then chooses to focus its strategy in the market of Outdoor Advertising in areas such as: advertising operators, digital printing and businesses engaged in the manufacturing of lighted signs. It gleaned from various long-standing corporations dedicated to the manufacturing and development of digital printing materials.
Our strategy of representing foremost businesses that focus on quality and functionality in every application and performance, resulted in the support of well-known international companies, the likes of: Avery Dennison, Kangwoo Corporation, LG Chem and many others. Soon, Marketing Sign Media became the 2nd. largest supplier of digital printing materials in the country and by gaining exclusive rights with LG Vizuon and Starflex, we secured our position in countries such as Honduras (2004) and El Salvador (2006).
It currently continues to be one of the businesses with the largest volumes in both sales and purchases, thanks to diversification of its products. It not only markets vinyl canvases, inks and vinyls (raw materials used in the production of billboards, advertising banners, posters, displays, floor graphics, fleet lettering, mobile billboards, etc.) but it also markets austere materials intricately linked to the industry such as: hardened-foam PVC, Coroplast and High-impact polystyrene (HIPS).
